Replacement of hollow roof support struts
Historically poor water quality, confirmed by water sample analysis, has indicated re-occurring contamination within sectional cold water storage tanks, the problem was eventually narrowed down to the use of hollow vertical supports within the tank, stagnation of the water within each tube being the cause. The Department of Health clearly stated that action was required to inspect tanks for hollow pipes used as a support structure and replace with solid structures as the preferred option.
Replacing the pipes with solid supports proved successful in eliminating the source of contamination.
Purewater Environmental will supply and install solid structured roof support structures to ensure that the proposed action from the Department of Health is followed.
